ELSON KAMBALU
PROFILE
Currently studying for a Masters degree in Creative Arts with the
Open Window University in Lusaka, Zambia, Elson Kambalu is a Malawian Artist plying his trade in Cape Town, South Africa, and Lilongwe, Malawi.
He is drawn to conceptual, participatory work, and has great interest in identity issues. He is interested in sharing people's stories, and creating works
that stimulate debate. He has extensively exhibited in different parts of the world in the past 20 years.
Having won two Presidential Awards under two different Malawian Presidents as Artist of the year (2015 & 2022), Elson has been hailed as a champion of the artistic landscape in Malawi
